As well as having a glorious industrial heritage, Hulme has become an active, vibrant community with plenty to attract young families, couples or those commuting in and out of the city.

Hulme life

Hulme is a beautiful area for students, young professionals and families. It’s close to the hustle and bustle of Manchester’s city life but far enough away to get the community feel that the area has to offer. As an example, three residents set up The Hulme Community Garden Centre, which is a perfect place for locals to relax and unwind. Hulme also has a colourful variety of local places to eat, drink and visit.

Hulme properties

A few years ago, you would have seen outdated concrete apartment blocks, but now Hulme features plenty of low-rise apartment buildings, green open spaces with lots of trees, and townhouses. These changes in local housing have created a stronger sense of community in Hulme.
